Colossians

Colossians is one of four letters Paul wrote to the Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon while under house arrest in Rome in about 60AD. His letters consist of five parts with similar themes and organization; an opening a statement of thanksgiving and prayer, teaching on the supremacy of Christ, addressing church division and other issues, practical advice for Christian living. Paul wrote from prison to encourage faith, unity, and understanding of Christ in the early churches located in Greece and Turkey.

A Word Cloud is a display of how often words are used in a text.  Words that are used most frequently are highlighted by the size of the font and by the color.

The figure to the right is a Word Cloud of the book of Colossians; Jesus Christ occurs most frequently followed by love and thanks.  All the words highlight how we should live and act as Christians.

The figure is by the author.

The symbol of the winged lion was also adopted as the symbol of Venice.  The figure is from the Venice Coat of Arms, by Sodacan, 2009.  Wikimedia Commons.
